About Vincent

Born to a religious family in the late 1930s/early-mid 1940s in the Alsace region

as É******** Chapelle, Vincent was raised and socialized as a girl, growing up

he had no way to explain why he felt so wrong in his skin.

He ran away from home at 16 after a fight with his father that left him with a

permanent burn scar on his neck. He found a community a few cities away in

which he seeked to get rid of his desires, but instead got around to accepting

them after finding a father figure that accepted him and gave him his name,

naming him after the popular painter.

The next few years of Vincent's life were rough, with him willing to do

anything to prove himself (he fought a lot). In his mid 20s, Vincent quit trying

to prove himself,deciding to move to a small town where he could start to settle

down. Even though he's doing much better now than he was in his younger days,

he'sstill in a bad state mentally, he's haunted by guilt for betraying his family, his

duties, and God. His body — although he's done everything he can to be

comfortable in it — is slowly killing him.
